Introduction of Korean Culture (3 credits/3 hours per week)

The class is the study of both Korea셲 culture and language because there is no clear separation when studying a culture and a language. The goal of this class is to be able to make foreigners understand Korea's culture to reduce culture shock and develop an ability to have a mutually positive relationship between Koreans and foreigners.

Introduction to Korean Literature (3 credits/3 hours per week)

The goals of this class is be able to develop the necessary basic conversational skills to communicate with Koreans, to have knowledge of the characteristics of Korean lifestyles and to understand and appreciate Korea's culture and arts with an emphasis on literature.

Korean Speaking (3 credits/3 hours per week)

Develop accurate speaking and pronunciation of the Korean alphabet, practical words, simple greetings and short expressions related to everyday life. Students will develop an ability to use the language in real-life situations.

Korean Listening (3 credits/3 hours per week)

The goal of this class is to be able to develop the ability to listen to and understand basic and necessary Korean vocabulary and phrases that are used in daily life.

The goal of this class is to be able to develop an ability to read content related to life in Korea in the Korean language.

Korean Writing (3 credits/3 hours per week)

The goal of this class is to be able to write the Korean alphabet/words as well as basic sentences and statements. The content will be related to real-life situations and everyday life.
